Visiting friends and after sunset they have a natural symphony in the nearby wooded area. As we walked off the ice cream, we saw plenty of these guys, and a baby snake!
This was a lazy guy since I had time to go back to their home, grab LegoGuy and come back for the blip.
Natural Bridge, Virginia
Natural Bridge was formed when a cavern collapsed and left the span that stands today. It is taller than Niagara Falls as a reference…
It has been designated a National Historic Landmark, a Virginia Historic Landmark, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Lightning Over Calhoun
Lightning strikes between 2 of the 3 big restaurants in Calhoun, GA (yes, map that!) – Applebees on the left and Longhorn steakhouse on the right. Shot with my travel point and shoot from the highest floor (4th) of my hotel.

Finally got around to selecting a few pics to share from the Grand Canyon trip… Enjoyed staying the night of July 4th in a lodge in the park, and while LegoGuy was hoping to wake up early to catch sunrise, he didn’t…
The family hiked a mile down and back on one of the trails though!
Hello & Goodbye
Had a little over a day to spend here, so finished walking the Las Vegas strip in a few hours, and drove to Zion National Park in Utah the next day. IMHO, time much better spent!

Venus, Mars & 13!
Not sure why my wife didn’t like my 13th wedding anniversary gift. It took a lot of thought and planning to combine her love of shoes, with both traditional and modern 13th wedding anniversary gifts of canvas and lace! Apparently canvas shoes with laces are not a good choice…
Only later did I get a hint of a Secret of someone named Victoria for lace… And that store is near the Apple watch store where there may be a canvas watch strap!
Hopefully I won’t mess up next year’s gift!
