Walk for art

After seeing a notice about the walk between terminals at ATL being just 5 minutes, I walked for the first time instead of taking the train. Discovered art and art installations along the way…

Lego takes time to stand and stare…

Local 9/11 memorial

Wasn’t here yesterday to visit the township memorial, but spent a moment of silence at the memorial by the lake today.

That’s a piece of steel from the WTC at the memorial remembering victims from our township…

No rooms in the inn

The team was up until midnight preparing for a presentation today. As a result, when I went to check into the Hampton Inn confident in my “guaranteed for late arrival” room, I was told that they were oversold and they had no rooms left…

The front desk person was very apologetic (she had just started her shift and this was dumped on her), and tried calling all the hotels around for availability, but kept getting the “sold out” message from them (some steelers game and some star and stripe stuff). She finally found a room in an unheard of hotel miles away and send me there… at 2 am! And wake up was at 5 am to get ready for the meeting…

Lego struggles to figure out this “dial-in” stuff (little did he notice the “wireless internet” ad behind him 🙂

Somewhere over IN or MD

Early morning flight and the landing announcements startled us all. The flight attendant welcomed us to Indianapolis, while we all assumed we were headed to Maryland.

It was MD…

Harvest Moonset

The last harvest moon of 2014 sets over Atlanta as the sun rises up… The UFO looking object is the top of the Hyatt Atlanta Downtown

Lego was 42 floors above street level and couldn’t get a good harvest moon last night, but wanted to at least catch it before it set…

Goodbye water park!

Though Hurricane Harbor closes the day after Labor Day, they stayed open this weekend. No complaints as we enjoyed one last goodbye to summer!
