… Specially on a sold out flight and at the convergence of 2 gates.
Oh what a difference a few days makes…
This is the same tree from Monday this week with almost all leaves gone – thanks to fall, rain and winds…
Hardwood floors are… hard
Lego finds out that installing a hardwood floor is not at all easy…
Back to School
They said “Doors open at 6:30” – and they did, but the principal did not show up until almost half an hour later.
Anyway, fun to see the kiddos class and what he was learning
Hydrant flushing
There was a long prolonged water flowing sound… Turns out the water company was flushing fire hydrants
Fine print
Lego discovers that there is a reason it’s called “fine print”
Spent the entire evening trying to figure out the catches and clauses in trading in an iPhone for the latest one… Since today was the last day of the offer…
No… not fall already!
Though it technically is fall, it still hurts to see leaves falling… because of what comes next… winter…
“Leaves are falling, softly floating tumbling to the ground
Orange, red, brown, yellow, orange, tumbling to the ground”
– Leaves are Falling (Rebecca Frezza)
Dandiya Raas
The social part of Navratri (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navratri) is Dandiya and Garba dances that take place. Dandiya Raas involve dancing in circles with sticks in the dancers’ hands… In the US, the dance usually takes place on weekends during Navratri (like this weekend)
Since Lego could not buy dandiya sticks from the Lego Store, he makes do with toothpicks 🙂
Crescent moon
Look closely… Look very closely… Lego tries to capture the crescent moon over the lake…. Maybe a telephoto lens would have been a better choice!
Long day today with wake up at 5, scrambling 120 eggs for a group meeting…
A Streetcar Named…
… Atlanta. This is one of the new streetcars that was supposed to start service downtown Atlanta early summer. Months later, the streetcars are still parked in the yard, with a start date of end of this year or maybe next!
I think this is Lego’s last week in Atlanta, but he made sure he got a look at the streetcars – so what if they were in the yard, with this one trying to escape?
